A newly remastered version of Chris White’s 2015 short film starring Michael Forest (The Twilight Zone, Star Trek TOS, CAST AWAY, KING KONG LIVES, ZORRO) and Patti D’Arbanville (The Sopranos, MODERN PROBLEMS, REAL GENIUS, New York Undercover, CELEBRITY).

This offbeat comedy about a retired U.S. senator with a dark secret who meets a woman who has lost her goat is from the “southern gothic comedy” anthology, UNBECOMING — five short films Chris White  and Emily Reach White produced over 15 weeks during the summer and fall of 2015 with co-producers Geoffrey Gunn and Scott Lansing.

Writer-director Chris Whiteis a fan of black-and-white movies and television shows and wanted to photograph his two leads in classic Hollywood style. As such, the original version of the film was presented in black-and-white. But as White started looking to bring the film into 4K resolution, he were inspired by the original footage cinematographer Erik Olsen shot. So this reworked version of SUB ROSA has been colorized. The results, created by Rich Roddman of Silver Box Studios, Tampa speak for themselves.
